Google Pixel 3 is the Acclaimed Best Camera Phone of 2018
Aside from coming with the big name, Google Pixel 3 has a lot to offer users, especially in the camera department.
The company claims that the pixel 3 will be the best camera smartphone of 2018 thanks to the extraordinary machine learning incorporated into the camera software.
In this review, I’ve pointed out the smartphone’s best selling points as well as its weaknesses (and it does have a few) to help you make a decision especially of if you’re thinking about ditching your current device for the Pixel 3.

Design
Pixel 3 comes with a two-tone color finish, which is pretty common with Google smartphones. The contrast between both colors, however, is not as sharp as obtained in the previous series.
The screen is covered with protective Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The same material is used as the rear cover but it is mixed with a little aluminum to increase its durability.

The Pixel supports wireless charging. This was the major reason why Google opted for an all-glass design as it allows the company to integrate the Qi wireless charging with faster-charging ability as well as improve LTE network connection.
Display
Google pixel 3 features a 5.5 OLED screen which is pretty much a standard practice for most high-end smartphones.
The entire thing measures 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9mm and weighs 148g. The device is not bezel-less. However, both the top and bottom bezels were trimmed to the barest minimum to provide enough space for activities.
The SIM card tray is located at the bottom of the device beside the USB-C ports. There’s no headphone jack and no notch. Google pixel 3 is available in three different colors; black, white and the new “not pink”

Processors and Performance
Google pixel 3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and has a 4GB RAM. The device comes with 32GB storage space but there’s a more expensive variant with 64GB. It does not provide any slot for micro SD card.

Camera
Google pixels are camera-centric. The pixel 2 and 2 xl were the best camera smartphones of the year and it seems Pixel 3 is going right up to the top of the chart as it comes with better cameras and AI backed functionality.
On the rear side, the Pixel 3 packs a single 12mp camera which is enhanced with a better AI functionality. The Pixel sports a dual selfie camera system consisting of a double 8mp camera; one for a regular shot and the other for wide angle shot.
Pixel 3 features Google’s finest AI algorithm and machine learning software.
For instance, the TopShot is an AI functionality that helps remove the effect of shaky hands as well as eye blinking and other motion-related effects from photography. The Photobooth allows for snapping without having to tap on the phone because it learns to recognize facial expressions ideal for good images.
The device also comes with the spam call blocking functionality, Titan M security chip technology to improve on-device login, disk encryption, and app data security.

Final Verdict
At launch, the Pixel 3 camera was compared with the iPhone X and the pixel 3 was a better performer, making it the best camera phone of the year. Although its RAM size falls on the smaller size compared to other high-end smartphones, the pixel 3 is bound to be a great performer with durable body parts.
