Huawei P20 Lite is a lower and more affordable version of Huawei P20 which came before it.
The Lite version was introduced just after the release of the main version and as expected, comes with lower features and specs. It’s actually a Lite version.
This version is intended for those who may not be able to afford the rather expensive Huawei P20 or would not want to spend so much on a smartphone.
The phone comes with midrange features, which is pretty much sufficient for high-quality performance but nowhere close to the original P20 model.
For instance, Huawei P20 comes with a Dual 20MP + 12MP dual rear camera combo combined with an AI-powered camera app for better photography while the Lite version comes with a smaller 16MP + 2MP dual rear camera. This and other minor trimmings set the two devices apart.
The specs sheet of Huawei P20 Lite is very impressive especially as a beginner’s smartphone and is way cheaper than P20 or P20 Pro. So, it’s a good alternative for those who can’t afford the other ones.

Body Design and Display
The P20 Lite retains the premium design of the superior P20 and comes with the same slippery glass body of the original model. The glass body shimmers when light falls on it and it is advisable to use a plastic case because the device is quite slippery.
Unlike the Huawei P20, the Lite model comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which is designed as a hollow circular depression. It also features the face unlock technology for maximum security. Both are extremely fast and will take only about 2 seconds to recognize your face or fingerprints.
Although both models come with full HD display and 5.84-inch screen size resolution, Huawei P20 Lite is much smaller than the original model.

Huawei P20 Lite is an impressive multitasker and runs the Android OS without any lags or glitches thanks to the abundant 4GB RAM and super fast Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset clocked at 2.36 GHz. It can handle all Android games and apps without any hiccups.

Storage
It comes with a 32GB and a 64GB variety. Both of which are a surprisingly downgrade of the 128GB internal storage found on the original P20 model. However, if for any reason you need more space, you could always increase it up to 128GB with a micro SD card.
Battery Life
The smartphone is packed with a 3000mAh non-removable battery which can keep the phone running all day long.
Huawei P20 Lite is a good alternative, especially if you don’t have the money for the original version or don’t want to spend that much on a smartphone.
