iPhone 8 is a Great Device and is Worth the Price. Here’s the Detailed Review

iPhone 8 brought a lot of excitement during its launch.

It’s not the best iPhone ever but it’s one of the best phones from Apple over the decade.

It sports an excellent design on the outside and mind-blowing features with other goodies on the inside to make it a better companion for users.

I personally admire this phone not only because of the Apple branding but also because of the dated refined design and portability. You can actually take this as the best if you don’t have enough budget to grab the bigger fish, the glamorous iPhone X.

For now, let’s take a good look at the iPhone 8.

Design

Merely looking at this phone, you can easily tell that it’s bigger than it’s predecessor. The back comes with a glass that makes it a little bit heavier by about 10 grams. floating beautiful colors that include Silver, Gold, and Space Gray.

You’ll find a small antenna on the top and bottom while the volume rocker and the switch control are on the left side, leaving the right side for the power button and SIM tray.

There’s nothing on the top but the bottom edge harbors the microphone and speaker.

Moving to the back, you’ll find the Apple logo on the center and the camera sitting on the top left alongside the flashlight. Everything on the back is neatly arranged and looks flawless.

Display

The 4.7-inch screen has a resolution of 1334 × 750 pixels and comes with a true-tone technology. This technology is designed to tweak the look base on the lighting of your environment to ensure colors are consistent.

The display is bright and crystal clear in a variety of lighting conditions. It’s one of the best IPS LCD you can get so far.

This chipset combined with the Apple-designed GPU and the six high-efficiency cores processor give you the best performance possible — especially when playing 3D games, running high demanding apps, or multitasking.

On a Geekbench 4 test, the iPhone 8 scores 10,259 on multiple core performance which is better than Samsung Galaxy S8 that scored just 5,723. This further proves that the iPhone 8 is one of the most powerful smartphones around.

On the inside, you get a 2GB RAM and internal memory of 64GB or 256GB, plus the iOS 11 operating system.

Camera

Although you won’t find a dual camera on this phone, you get a 12-megapixel main camera with a f/1.8 aperture. The optical image stabilization and HDR it offers is what every photography needs to explore the world. With this camera on your side, you can take pictures anywhere at any angle.

iPhone 8 camera

This camera can record 4K videos at up to 60fps and 1080p videos at up to 240fps. For selfie fans, you get a 7-megapixel front-facing camera with a f/2.2 aperture for great selfies.

Battery

The smartphone is powered by a battery of 1821mAh that features a fast charging support to give you 100% charge in 60 minutes. Good thing is that it comes with an added wireless charging technology and a USB-C power adapter.

You’ll enjoy the battery if you’re an average user. But if you’re a heavy user, you’ll need to charge the phone at least twice a day because games can easily drain the battery.

Conclusion

Overall, iPhone 8 is a great phone. The design and performance are worth the price.
