iPhone X Review – The All-Screen Phone

Apple Inc is a brand reputed to produce high-quality smartphones that rival brands still find unmatchable.

Of course, each of Apple’s devices comes with a high price that makes some technology savvy individuals regard it as a luxury brand.

To dwell on its latest smartphone, it came amidst rumors and high expectations by numerous iPhone users.

On releasing the phone, early users of the phone had registered positive tidings about the device. That gives you a clue on its performance.

I know you might be nursing some worries if you’d not regret buying this flagship. But to allay your fears, after reading this review, you’d surely prefer the iPhone X to any alternative.

Let’s briefly go through its features so you can be the judge if it meets the hype or not.

Design and Display

iPhone X spots a super responsive 5.8-inch touchscreen display with super retina feature. Apple Inc did a perfect job in crafting the screen display as this is noticeable in the clear and crisp color reproduction.

It uses the true tone display that adjusts to ambient light and white balance.

iPhone X display

The phone has a dimension of 143.6 x 70.9 x 7.7mm with a screen to body ratio of 82.9%. This is great but not unsurpassed as some flagships beat it hands down in this regard.

It packs a perfect build blending glass and metal in a really superb way.

Thanks to Apple for the creative location of the speaker which produces audible sound downwards from the under part of the phone.

To add, iPhone X is dust and water resistant, therefore you’re covered when these elements “attack” your phone.

Performance

To your delight, the iPhone’s permanent memory is 64/256 GB and the RAM is 3GB.

iPhone X is powered by the Apple A11 bionic chipset which brings maximum speed to any activity you may consider attempting on the phone. You’re assured of excellent gaming experience with this chipset.

Battery Life

iPhone X is packed with a non-removable 2716 mAh Li-Ion battery; This isn’t exceptional but better than previous iPhones.

The wireless charging feature of the phone enables a 100% battery power in 2 hours.

When subjected to a rigorous test that involved watching Netflix videos in HDR mode, listening to music on Spotify, using the hotspot on the train and taking selfies with the camera, the battery lasted 12 hours.

Camera

Trust Apple on camera performance!

The device packs good front and rear cameras which capture amazingly clear pictures in low light. The front 7 Megapixels TrueDepth camera reads depth details well; true to its name.

Similarly, the dual 12MP back cameras are no disappointment. The pictures produced are outstanding.

Software

There is no much to be described here, but the few software features of the iPhone X described here are superlative.

Its improved iOS, for example, beats any other iOS hands down.

For your information, iPhone X is undoubtedly the first Apple mobile phone to adopt live photos. This affords users the opportunity of looping photos.

Also, the app icons appear boldly in perfect color touches. The user interface is similar to previous iPhones.

I used the iPhone 7 before this. With so many conflicting reviews I was unsure how the Device would be. I also knew that Apple would not bring an anniversary product to the market without extensive testing to eliminate major problems.Thank god I ordered it! Face ID changes everything. Unlocking the phone is only one minuscule part of its job. Lovely phone enjoying every minute of it. Never missed the home button for a second. The gestures and screen are pure butter. Feels like the future for sure! Apple at its intuitive best!
