This Entry-Level itel A31 is Recommended for Low-Budget Users

itel A31 is a great bargain and it’s good for the money in every aspect.

It’s one of the few 1GB RAM smartphones with an 8MP camera that you can find at a price around ₦20,000.

Most budget smartphones with similar spec sheets costs around ₦25,000 and above.

Aside from decent cameras and RAM size, the device comes with other impressive features that make it worth considering.

This is a detailed review of the A31 including its battery life, camera quality, performance and of course, its connectivity options.

Design and Display

Itel A31 comes with a plastic body design with the edges lined with thin aluminum stripes.

Although the aluminum line coupled with the center camera and flash gives it a good look, the phone’s appearance is more of a regular design.

itel a31 display

The phone comes with a 5-inch screen size featuring a 480 x 854 pixels display resolution.

The 5-inch display provides enough space for enjoyable content viewing. But the same cannot be said about the display resolution.

For one, the phone does not support HD quality movies. But if you’re comfortable with regular 320p movies, you’ll love the A31.

It is available in three different colors: gold, black or blue.

The device comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie camera.

The 8MP rear camera is quite a good bargain for an entry-level smartphone like this one but disappointingly, the same cannot be said of the 2MP rear camera.

If you want a better camera for selfies, you probably should consider getting your hands on itel S32. It comes with a dual selfie camera but cost as much as twice the A31; this makes your budget when making a choice.

This smartphone is an average performer. Its multitasking ability is not impressive but good enough for the price.

The device runs on a Quad-core MediaTek MT6580W chip clocked at a speed of 1.3 GHz and supported by a 1GB RAM.

Itel A31 runs on Android 7.0 nougat.

It features an 8GB internal storage and if you ever need more space, you can easily increase it up to 32GB with a micro SD card.

Battery Life

The budget phone comes with a massive 3000mAh battery, which promises a decent uptime and a better bargain than other smartphones in its price range featuring lesser battery sizes.

Other Features

A31 is a dual SIM smartphone and only supports 2G/3G network; it doesn’t support 4G. WiFi, Bluetooth, and micro USB 2.0 connectivity are all available.

Should I Buy itel A31?

If you don’t want to spend more for a phone or are on a tight budget, you should definitely buy this device as it is one of the best smartphones in its price category.

It comes with a good battery life, decent processing speed, and standard internal storage.

However, if you want more, especially better quality cameras, you probably should consider saving more and going for a device like the itel S32. It costs about twice the price of this one.
