Here’s the Affordable itel A51 that Has Everything You Desire

itel A51 is the predecessor of itel A31.

This means that the A31 is an upgrade of A51.

But really, they’re the same on the spec sheet except for a few changes.

For instance, A51 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow while A31 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

That and a few other minor changes set the two models apart.

itel A51 is a beautiful device. Unlike most entry-level smartphones that come with a plastic build, this one comes with a beautiful metallic body and a decent battery life for better uptime.

This article is a detailed review of itel A51 including its camera quality, processor, hardware, performance, and everything else you need to know about the phone. I’ve also included my personal opinion.

Body Design

As already stated, it comes with a premium metallic body. This is a plus for the device as the metallic body provides more protection so as not to pick up scratches as much as plastic bodies.

The metallic body comes with an intricate design on the rear cover. This provides more friction between the device and your palm for a better grip.

Display

It is blessed with a 5.5-inch screen which I find really interesting. This provides more than enough space for a comfortable viewing experience.

The screen resolution is also quite impressive coming at 1280 x 720 pixels. The device supports HD quality movies and can be used comfortably.

Performance

This is where I’ll talk about how well the phone can multitask or launch apps quickly.

A phone with good multitasking ability should be able to keep a web page in a browser open while you are on another app. This helps you switch quickly without having to reload the page again. This is just an instance, though.

A phone’s RAM size is the biggest factor for determining the multitasking ability of a phone.

itel A51 comes with a 1GB RAM and runs on a Quad-core MediaTek chipset clocked at 1.2 GHz. The RAM is just sufficient for basic multitasking with lightweight apps.

If you’re using heavier apps like Whatsapp and Facebook at the same time, you’ll have considerable lags switching from one app to the other.

Storage

The smartphone comes with a massive 16GB internal storage. This is quite a good surprise from itel and I must say, I was very impressed. Most devices at the same price come with half that storage space.

The storage space can also be increased up to 32GB with a micro SD card.

Camera Quality

Itel A51 features an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie camera. Personally, I’d agree the 8MP camera is quite a good deal for a phone at such a low price as this itel.

itel a51 back

This camera is supported by a flash, but you probably will not want to use that for taking pictures as the image will appear whitewashed.

The selfie camera is a bit disappointing. But then, that’s all you can ever get from an entry-level smartphone of the same price. So, it’s a good bargain, too.

The selfie camera, however, is quite sufficient for selfies and video chats but not something you’ll want to use if you’re looking for a huge fan base on Instagram.

Battery Life

itel A51 comes with an average 2400mAh Li-ion battery that should be able to give you up to 12 hours uptime over a 3G network.

Other Features

It supports 2G and 3G connectivity. There’s no 4G. It also comes in three different colors; Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Black.

Should I Buy itel A51?

The smartphone is a good device for the money and one of the best options you can get within its price category. So, you should definitely go for it.

However, if social media is a big deal for you and you love selfies a lot, consider saving more for a phone with more decent cameras. Otherwise, the A51 is your best option out there at that price.

Feel free to leave your thoughts and comments about the phone in the comment section below.
