itel S13 is a Cheap Android Phone with 13MP Front Camera for Selfie Lovers

itel S13 was launched around the same time Apple launched some of its advanced iPhones.

But this one isn’t as advanced as the iPhones.

No, its a cheap Android phone for anyone who has a tight budget but wants a taste of flagship.

Its a selfie phone with a quality 13MP front snapper designed to keep you shinning in the selfie game. The dual rear camera also provides colorful images.

Its good to see that the phone is crafted with a standard bezel-less display and a fingerprint scanner.

Design and Display

Looking cool and beautiful, the design of the phone is inspired by Google Pixel.

The rough band at the top and the dual camera with the LED flash arrangement cannot help but remind me of the popular Google Pixel.

That said, the phone also sports a rear fingerprint scanner, which you can use to unlock your phone.

Don’t be deceived by the metal look, the S13 actually has an all-plastic build and design. There is a loudspeaker at the bottom that promises a quality sound and bass.

The back cover is removable and not cemented as seen on some flagship phones.

On the front, it features a 5.5-inch full-screen display, which is impressive for its 960 x 480-pixel resolution. The screen also stretches up to 72% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

itel S13 packs a MediaTek MT6580 chipset and a Quad-core Cortex-A7 processor that clocks at 1.3GHz. Processing of graphics is handled by a Mali-400 MP GPU.

The smartphone is able to execute low demanding tasks without any hitches thanks to the Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition. Apps like the Candy Crush, Temple Run, and Dr. Driving will run smoothly on this phone.

You’ll also get a backup of 1GB RAM, which is average but can maintain good performance on the phone.

Fueling the phone is a removable 2400mAh battery that can last a full day on average usage. But it doesn’t support fast charging technology.

The device comes with a dual camera configuration on the back. The 5MP dual cameras are pretty low but offer an acceptable output.

The front-facing camera is more powerful than the rear camera as it features a 13MP shooter.

What’s more?

The selfie snapper, which was dubbed “Clearer Selfie”, features some handy tweak on the inside to enhance the photos. Some of the camera settings include Lowlight, Panorama, Pro, and Portrait.

The camera output on this budget phone is average but better than some in this category. However, the pictures the images produced by the cameras are vibrant, clear, and decent enough to share.
