Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is, no doubt, a very powerful smartphone.
It is the most feature-packed Samsung phone in 2018. Samsung seems to make up for its flaws in Galaxy S9 with the release of this phone.
This phone comes with 3 major upgrades to the Note 8. It features a larger screen, higher battery capacity, and Bluetooth powered S Pen.
As should be expected, it is available at a very high price – even more expensive than the glorified iPhone X.
The phone is available in two variants based on the storage capacity. Read on to see the variant that fits your business and personal lifestyle.
Table of Contents
It is designed with a matte aluminum frame and chamfered edges. You can obtain the phone in blue, black, and purple/pink colors.
It comes with a rear fingerprint scanner placed below the horizontally aligned dual-camera. It sports awesome features – found on Note 8 – like a headphone jack, fast wireless charging, USB type C, and water resistance.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is crafted with a very large screen of 6.4 inches, which is just a hair strand more than previous Note 8 with 6.3 inches.
This phone is definitely not the right choice for anyone looking for a one-hand operated device. If you opt for the Note 9 regardless of the screen size, you’ll also be getting a Super AMOLED Quad HD+ screen.
The screen size makes it an excellent choice for gamers and a perfect mobile cinema for those who love to watch movies on their phone.
Bluetooth S Pen
As a family of the Note series, we already expect it to come with an S Pen. Unlike other Samsung Galaxy Note smartphones, this model comes with a Bluetooth support (Bluetooth Low Energy (LE), precisely).
With this feature, you can use your S Pen as a temporary camera shutter to take pictures, quickly access any app, pause/play button when listening to audio, and as your slide clicker during presentations.
Having a massive storage capacity is a great plus to this device. It comes in two variants; one with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and another with 8G RAM and 512GB internal memory.
The more interesting thing is that it supports an external memory of up to 512GB. This means that you can obtain up to 1TB memory with your Note 9 when you insert a 512GB SD card to the 512GB variant. Wawu!
Dual Camera with AI
The Galaxy Note 9 is crafted with a dual-camera support. Each has a 12MP lens, which comes with optical image stabilization.
The camera has a new AI-powered scene recognition feature that analyzes and identifies the subject you’re pointing the camera at. It can identify up to 20 different scenarios like pets, food, street, plants, and so on.
It also has a flaw detection feature that lets you know if someone blinked or if a shot is blurry. Awesome, right?
Some time ago, Samsung recalled some of its phones because of explosions caused by the battery. This has resulted in the company taking extra measures on subsequent phones.
Note 9 packs a huge 4000mAh battery, which is the largest capacity ever found on a Samsung Note phone. The company promises that this battery will deliver an optimized performance.
As for safety measures, the company runs the battery through its multipoint safety check in addition to having it validated and certified by two outside companies.
Smartphone Turn PC
Samsung Note 9 ships with the upgraded DeX software which allows you to get a PC-like experience on a bigger screen that works well with a keyboard or mouse. You can obtain this by simply plugging in your external display into the phone with an HDMI adapter.
Is Note 9 Worth the Money?
You may argue that it’s overpriced. But the fact remains that it comes with mouth-watering features that appeal to any tech-savvy or heavy phone user.
If you’ve got the money, it’s definitely recommended.
