Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9 Plus Are Samsung’s First Flagship Smartphones of 2018
Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9 Plus were launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in 2018.
The phones pack some pretty and amazing features on the inside and outside; they’re classic phones that parade premium body design.
The first good news is that they both run on Android 8.0 Oreo right out of the box.
Design
Merely looking at the devices, you’d sport the quality even if you’re not tech-savvy.
Noticeable among the differences between the two phones are the size and camera. S8 is big and has a single rear camera while S8 plus is bigger and packs two rear cameras.
Both phones are made of aluminum frame and covered with glass on the back. The back houses the camera, fingerprint scanner, flashlight and Samsung logo.
Each one has its display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to prevent minor scratches. It’s also a good thing that they’re both IP68 certified, offering both dust and water resistant.

Display
On the display, the smartphones feature the 18:9 aspect ratio, dishing out a full view and full vision display.
Samsung Galaxy S9 offers a large Super AMOLED screen of 5.8 inches while Samsung Galaxy S9 plus provides a larger Super AMOLED screen of 6.2 inches.
If the display is a factor you’d consider before making a buying decision, then the size is what will determine your choice because they both have the same resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. They both bring out great content in details with good color reproduction.
Camera
For photography, the Galaxy S9 has a rear camera of 12MP with an aperture of f/1.5 and pixel size of 1.4 µm. It’s capable of capturing 4K videos. And the front camera is 8MP for perfect selfies.
As for the Galaxy S9 plus, it has a dual 12MP rear camera with LED flash and also captures 4K videos. The first 12MP lens has a f/1.5 aperture and 1.4 µm pixel size while the other 12MP lens has a f/2.4 aperture and 1 µm pixel size. The front camera is also pegged at 8MP for breathtaking selfies.

Processor and Memory
The Galaxy S9 & S9 plus promise a solid performance. They’re both powered by a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset for optimized output. This chipset plays a major role in the multi-tasking capability of the phones. You won’t have to worry about lagging issues anymore.
As for the RAM, S9 is pegged at 4GB while S9 plus at 6GB. Both models are available with a varying internal memory ranging from 64GB to 128GB and 256GB.
