This is Tecno F3 (POP 1) – The Budget Phone with 18:9 Screen to Body Aspect Ratio

Call it POP 1 if you want, the Tecno F3 is one of the F-series entry-level devices designed by Tecno mobile.

Tecno F3 is an improvement upon Tecno F2. As such, it comes bigger, bolder, and better.

Find in this extensive review of the POP 1 what the beautiful smartphone has to offer, what it lacks as well as how well it can handle the Android system.

Design

Tecno F3 is built with a similar all plastic body and shape like its predecessors – Tecno F1 and Tecno F2.

On the rear side of the phone, you’ll find the camera and dual flash arranged at the top right corner. And just a little beneath the camera and dual flash, towards the center, you’ll find the Tecno logo embossed on the removable rear cover.

Aside from the logo, camera and dual flash, the rear of the POP 1 is pretty plain – there’s no fingerprint sensor on the Tecno F3.

Tecno F3 Camera

At the side, the right-hand side, you’ll find the volume and power buttons. There’s no button on the left-hand side.

At the front of the Tecno F3, you’ll find the selfie camera, speakers, a flash and other sensors arranged in a groove at the top of the screen. Below the screen and on the bezels, you’ll find the three capacitive keys: Menu, Home, and Back button.

That’s pretty much all there is about the design. It’s crafted similar to the F1 and F2 if you’ve ever seen one of those.

Display

The Tecno F3 features a massive 5.5 inch IPS display screen with a 960 X 480 pixels resolution. It sports a display with slightly curved edges for better grip. The rear cover is all plastic and features no antenna lines.

It is designed with the 18:9 screen to body aspect ratio. This is quite comfortable and provides more than enough real estate for gaming, watching movies or multitasking. However, the resolution is quite poor, though way better than the one found on either the F1 or F2 series.

Camera

The smartphone features the same 5MP rear camera as the F1 and F2 series. Though the F3 comes with a better 5MP selfie camera, unlike the F1 and F2 which sport a meager 2MP selfie camera.

So, expect better selfie photos from the F3 as compared to its predecessors.
