Leagoo M9 Review, Specs & Price in Nigeria
Leagoo M9, like the M7, is an attractive device with a polycarbonate body that glows in the presence of light.
It comes with superior premium design and fluid performance that makes it worth considering especially if you’re after a smartphone with a good performance and decent cameras.
Design
The quad-cam architecture makes it an aesthetic edifice. Adding to this, its display has very thin bezels, and a portable nature expressed through its 153g weight.
The entire body is crafted from polycarbonate and has a dimension of 148.71 mm x 71.20 mm x 9.75 mm.
The smartphone comes in three color variants: Gold, Black, and Blue.
The dedicated keys on the device appear on its right side and the top bezel houses a few sensors, dual selfie flash, and its dual selfie camera.

Display
The M9 features a 5.5-inches display with a resolution of 1280 x 640 pixels and 260 PPI pixel density for sharp image and video display.
It comes with the much coveted fullscreen aspect ratio of 18:9, unlike most 5.5 inches, display screens with 16:9 ratio. The screen is guarded against minor scratches by a Corning Gorilla Glass. It also has a 2.5D Curved Glass on its display for better quality.
Hardware, Software, and Memory
Below the attractive body design of Leagoo M9 lies an integrated MediaTek MT6580A.
The CPU powering the smartphone’s operations is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-A7 clocked at a speed of 1.3GHz.
The quad-core CPU makes use of the 28m process technology. Also in the hardware section is the dual-core ARM Mali-T400 MP2 GPU.
For the operating system, the device uses the company’s modified OS – Leagoo OS 3.0 Lite, which is modified based on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
The memory compartment packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be extended to a max of 32GB with the adoption of a microSD card.

Camera
Leagoo M9, like the M7, features a premium dual rear camera consisting of an 8 MP and 5 MP for taking high definition images and videos.
Unlike the predecessor, this one comes with a dual selfie camera comprising of a 5MP and a 2MP for improved selfie quality. An LED flash is also present to brighten the images.
Connectivity
The phone doesn’t support 4G network. I find this a little disappointing but I believe for most Nigerians, this won’t be a problem as most network providers charge exorbitant prices for it anyways.

Battery Life of Leagoo M9
It features a removable Lithium Ion battery of 2850 mAh, which I believe is pretty low compared to what’s currently obtained from other brands on the market.
The battery can last up to 8 hours of heavy browsing over 3G networks.
Overall, this is a beautiful device with a great design, decent cameras and promises of decent performance. You may, however, struggle to keep the phone awake for long if you’re a heavy user without the need to charge it very often.
