Infinix Hot S3: The First Infinix Phone with a Snapdragon Processor

Infinix Hot S3  is the first Infinix phone to come with a Snapdragon processor and Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

Besides this, it has some amazing features that make it a highly recommended device. Although the phone has been released before now, it was announced in Nigeria in March 2018.

Similar to iPhone X which was released not long ago, Infinix Hot S3 also has the face ID technology for added security. I love that the company also included our usual fingerprint sensor, unlike what Apple did to iPhone X.

If you’re considering getting this device, I believe it’s really worth the money in every way.

Design

Infinix Hot S3 comes with the premium look of an iPhone. But it can be easily distinguished by the presence of the fingerprint scanner and, of course, the Infinix logo at the back.

Moving to the right side of the body, you’ll find the volume buttons as well as the power button. The left side contains your nano-SIM card tray, which also accommodates your microSD card.

At the top bezel, you’ll find a selfie camera, speaker, and sensors all grouped in a rectangular groove. The bottom bezel features the three common buttons (home, menu, and back buttons).

Infinix Hot S3 display

This is a good choice for Infinix fans who are looking for a phone without much bezel. Although it’s not bezel-less in the right sense, its bezels have been well-trimmed and just about anyone will find it premium.

Display

The Infinix display is just about sufficient. At least, it abandoned the traditional 5.3-inch and 16:9 display found in phones of the same price range and opted for the more loved 18:9. This coupled with the 5.7-inch display gives you enough room to wiggle in.

Infinix S3 Specs

The display features a full HD resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. What this means is that you’ll get brighter and clearer screens. You won’t have to worry about those blurs on photos and videos you get on some screens.

Performance

While an 18:9 display may not be a special feature as it can be found in phones of lesser prices, Infinix Hot S3 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.

This processor, in collaboration with the abundant 3GB RAM, gives you a super fast device for seamless multitasking.

The device can handle most simple tasks as well as heavy tasks. Playing games like Asphalt 8 or any 3D games isn’t a problem. Although, it gets slightly warm after a while.

Overall, the performance of this device is great. And, oh, did I forget to mention that it comes with a 32GB memory? In fact, it’s expandable to 128GB.

Camera

Infinix Hot S3 Camera

If you’re a lover of selfies or love taking them for your Instagram or Snapchat fans, Infinix S3 is your device. The phone was specially designed for selfie lovers and that’s why you’ll find the selfie camera bigger – 20MP – than the rear camera – 13MP.

The camera system comes with other great features but all I want you to know is that this smartphone is a great tool for beautiful selfies.

Software

Hot S3 comes with Android 8 Oreo operating system, which is the latest as at March 2018 when the device was announced in Nigeria.

You get all the amazing features of this version like picture-in-picture (which allows you to play videos while chatting or doing something else), sleek notifications, smart copy-and-paste, and other great features.

If you’re looking for a phone that lets you easily manage your clipboard, save battery life and control over apps (like limit background activities, control app notifications, and data usage), go for this device. The Oreo gives you all that and more app control.

Battery life

For many of us, Android battery life is still a plague even though developers have been working on improvements. Fortunately, the Hot S3 comes with a large 4000mAh battery. Real life test shows that the battery can withstand over 4 hours of heavy gaming.

Should I Go for This device?

Yes. If you’re a lover of selfies,  want good battery life or looking for a super fast phone or just after a premium looking device, then you should go for the Infinix Hot S3. It’s really worth the money.
