What Type of Washing Machine Should You Go For?

Washing machines come in two categories; top loader washing machines and front loader washing machines.

1. Top Loader Washing Machine

The top loader washing machine has an opening at the top where you can load your clothes. It comes in two varieties; agitators and impellers. Both are actually the same. The only difference, in most cases, is that agitators use a pole with fins for washing while impellers use propellers. Top loaders are more popular since they’re cheap and less bulky.

Who Should Buy a Top Loader Washing Machine?

A top loader washing machine is like a PC – it’s a personal washing machine. Due to its portable size, it’s ideal for those living alone or those who don’t have much laundry every weekend.

If you’re on a budget and looking for something cheap and efficient, you should consider going for this type. Top loader washing machines are less expensive, consume less electricity and water, and don’t take much space.

You don’t have to bend while loading your clothes. Anyone with waist pain can easily use a top loader without awakening the pain.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for this review.

But do I have to connect the top Loader to a constant water supply to do the washing or do I pour in the water once with all my clothes?

      Hi Kehinde,

If it’s a fully-automatic top loader, it’s recommended you connect it to a water supply. For a semi-automatic top loader, you can pour the water manually. Add water to the tub before washing and drain it when the cycle is completed.
