Nokia 2 – The Budget Nokia Android Phone Around 30k. See Specs
Nokia does not mess with its phone naming range.
Nokia 2 is just a few steps above the most basic Nokia smartphones. As such, you should expect basic specs and performance from it.
It’s one of the cheap android phones out there with reasonable specs.
But … should you stake your money on Nokia 2 or go with other options of Nokia Android phones?
This review is aimed at helping you make a decision.
I’ve outlined its essential features here so you can determine how they meet your needs. This way, you get to decide if the smartphone is ideal for your needs or not.
Design
Nokia 2 features a plastic removable battery cover with aluminum lining on its sides. The battery is not removable and is covered with a protective metal to prevent wetting. But note that the phone doesn’t have any wet resistance ability.

You’d probably dislike the Nokia 2 if you’re not a fan of bezels because it features excessive bezels especially below the screen where you can find the three custom buttons.

Screen and Display
The display is quite impressive. It features a 5-inch LCD panel with a 720×1280 pixel resolution (which is way ahead of iPhone 5s display by the way). This gives the device an imperative brightness and color display.
Battery Life
Nokia 2 is ideal for anyone who’s concerned about battery life. It features a 4100mAh Li-ion battery. You get a two day standby time or about a whole day standby time with heavy browsing, streaming or gaming when fully charged.
Camera
The camera system of Nokia 2 is a little weak. While most smartphones in its price range come with 13MP rear cameras, it comes with a thin 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies. The front camera is okay for selfies but the 8MP rear camera is basic and probably won’t serve you well.

Software
Nokia 2 runs on pure Android v7.1.1 Nougat. Since it runs on pure Android, you won’t find annoying pre-installed bloatware as standard with most smartphones. It only features the Nokia care app aside basic apps for troubleshooting.
Processor and Storage
The entry-level smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 212 chipset, which isn’t really great as it may cause some lag in the phone’s performance. Although the performance will undoubtedly be improved with the available 1GB RAM, it would have been more efficient if the phone came with a higher processor.
Another downside of Nokia 2 is its insufficient storage space. It features an 8GB internal memory; half of which has been used for system apps. So, you only get a 4GB storage space straight out of the box. You can expand this to up to 128GB but have it in mind that you install apps using the 4GB memory.
