Full Review: Infinix Hot 6 & Hot 6 Pro Are Designed with On-Screen Navigation Buttons

Just before we finished celebrating Infinix Hot S3, the first Infinix phone with a Snapdragon chipset, Infinix Mobility launched the anticipated Infinix Hot 6 & Hot 6 Pro.

They both run on Android 8.0 Oreo and sport some pretty amazing features that give them a flagship appearance. The OS is optimized for a better performance to give you a seamless and good user experience.

The devices accommodate true dual SIM and an SD card.  This means that they have available slots for each of your SIM cards and the SD card.

The company tagged the phones “Double Amazing” because they come with dual back cameras that produce truly admirable pictures.

The only differences between Infinix Hot 6 and Infinix Hot 6 Pro are the RAM and ROM. Read on to get the specifics.

Design

Infinix Hot 6 is a beautifully crafted device with an ergonomic design. It has a touch of iPhone X at the back to make it appear similar to a flagship phone.

Visible at the top bezel is the notification LED, proximity sensor, call reception speaker, 5MP camera, and selfie flash all arranged horizontally. Nothing can be found on the bottom bezel, not even virtual buttons.

The left side carries the SIM slot, which accommodates dual-SIM plus an SD card. The volume buttons and power button are placed on the right side with a few millimeters distance between both.

Hot 6 & Hot 6 Pro have no feature at the top. The microphone, USB port, headphone jack, and speaker grills are strategically fixed to the bottom of the phone. The setup on the bottom is quite similar to that of Tecno Camon X. Unfortunately, there’s no type-c USB here.

Moving to the back of the phone, you’ll find the dual cameras with dual LED flash closely placed at the top left corner. The fingerprint sensor is slightly below, at the middle, with the Infinix logo boldly embossed below it.

The entire body of Infinix Hot 6 & Hot 6 Pro is plastic just like Infinix Hot S3.

Display

Infinix Hot 6 and Hot 6 Pro sport a huge 6-inch display; this is very convenient for watching movies and playing HD games. The infinity display features the 18:9 screen to body aspect ratio, which makes the large display more fun.

Infinix has curved the edges of the display to make it look just as an 18:9 display should appear. Both variants come with on-screen navigation buttons that can be hidden to explore the full view experience

The phone is still comfortable to hold despite its huge display. It has a beautiful design that makes it pleasing to the eyes, and well-crafted to feel comfortable in the palm of your hand.

Battery

This is what I love most about the phone. It packs a powerful 4000mAh battery to make sure you enjoy using your device all day long.

The battery will last for several hours under heavy usage or up to a day with a little browsing, gaming, and avoiding other battery draining activities.

Software

Although the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset that comes with it is old, I believe it will perform to expectation.

Infinix Hot 6 & Hot 6 Pro come with different sizes of RAM and ROM. While the Hot 6 has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, Hot 6 Pro pack 3GB and 32GB respectively.

I love that the smartphone is crafted with the face ID technology in addition to the fingerprint scanner for maximum security. This way, you have the choice to decide which feature you want to use to secure your phone.

As for internet connection, you have nothing to worry about since you can browse on 4G LTE network with your new device.

Wrap Up

Whether Hot 6 or Hot 6 Pro, whichever one you decide to choose depends on your needs and budget. Hot 6 is okay if all you do is social media surfing, picture taking, and other minor things. But if you do more of heavy gaming and use apps that require large space, Hot 6 pro is your best bet.

I own K7 but my guy just bought this mobile device and I fell in love with it. Its screen is long and the 4G network is what I need now. The display too is awesome.
